Wiring help for PIAA 80 Pro XT

Could anyone give me any insight as in to how to wire the lights so they can only be turned on only when the car is turned on. Specifically what wire did you tap into for the power supply for the switch that will be hot only when the car is on. I'm wiring a 97 Explorer SOHC if that's any help. Any pics that you might have would mean a world of help to me as well. Thanks.

Check the section on the wiring. For simiplicity sake, I'll just say that basically the switch wire is tapped into my radio fuse. Since I have so many sets though I actually ran a wire to a fuseblock, and all the wires get their power from the fuseblock, but the fuseblock gets its power from the radio.

you mean you didn't buy em through the group purchase? aww dang man! j/k can't wait to see em. If you need any help wiring em let me know, but the wiring harness is extremely simple, if you know the basics of electricity you'll have no problem (all wires are hooked up, you just have to hook up white to positive battery, black to negative battery, then the ground if applicable... then connect the switch, and run the exposed switch wire to where you want to draw power from (radio fuse for example). Not much else to it. Your hardest part will probably be getting through your firewall unless you've got a nice grommet (some have it, some don't)

By the time I made up my mind for the group purchase on what I wanted, the purchase was over (I think). I'll have to do it next time though, cause saving $$ is always a good thing! I do have two more question for you (I know I'm probably bugging the heck out of you, but if anyone knows the answer, it would proabably be Mr. Light, aka mattadams). Where did you buy your switch fuse box from? Also, did you pull the wire from the stereo fuse just after it exited from the fuse panel, or did you get to the wire from underneath the center console? naw its still going on! Anyways, I actually pulled it directly from the fuse itself, just got a fuse tap and wired it in that way. I've had no problem with the amount of power it's receiving.
