Wiring Help

I am running new wires from a subwoofer amp located on the back of the driver rear seat up to the front side of the console. I am putting a switch in and running it back to the sub box(near the amp). how does one do the snaking of the wiring under the carpet up through under the driver cup holder?

Having not done it myself... I'd guess you need to take out the right rear seat and rocket panel step-in plastic trim piece to pull up the carpet, take loose the center console so there's room to work, snake the wires on the side of the center hump, preferably with something protective over them going through the passenger foot space area like thin walled PVC tubing softened with a heat gun and flattened to conform to the hump slope while the wires are snaked through to the right placement, then pull them up through the console and attach to the switch, then put back all the parts you pulled up.

However the following diagram appears to show no wiring going that route which would explain the smooth appearance of the area, that more often the wiring would be routed under the rocker panel step plastic piece I referred to above, then taken sideways under the passenger seat to the center console.

just to clarify the amp is mounted on the back of the left rear seat on the lower left corner. Is there a way to do it without taking the seats out? That isn't normal for an amp install. How do you loosen the console?

I plead ignorance, there are a dozen different ways to pull carpet or liners and route a wire. It all depends on what you start, where you want to route it, and where you want it to end up. It seems like you are doing what we all do, hoping to avoid unscrewing a lot of stuff but whichever way you route, the more you unscrew to hide it, the more hidden it is.

Figure out how much work you want to do to keep it out of sight.

Perhaps this is a better question. Is there a way to get the carpet up just enough to slide it under?

The carpet is tight on the floor so no, you have to get at least two sides up.

I wasn't giving you the best advice which was to not route it through the middle, to route it on the side instead then cross over under the passenger seat.

I could probably get the carpet up enough to run it under the side near the molding as well.

If you pull the side molding up and run it under that, then above the carpet across while under the passenger's seat, you may not even have to move the carpet.

Same thing for the drivers side? What about loosening the console.

I don't know if there is room on that side or not. I mentioned the other side because the wiring diagram I linked shows an amp wired on the passenger side. A forum search should find info about loosening the console.
