hey i had the bright/dumb idea to try to wire the rca's to a low level input that goes to the stock amp of my car and then run the low levels directly to the amp (before i was running the high level inputs from the stock amp to the stock sub then through a variable hi-low converter to rca's the amp). Well after I tried to do all this w/ the rca's it didnt work so i got frustrated. Well the problem is when i went back to the hi-low converter to the rca's it didnt put out any signal. The amp is on because the light on the top is still on (kicker 150.2)and i have the hi and low pass filter off and none of the stuff is up high at all so it should be getting a signal, also lowered the bass output from the hu so there shouldnt be much a signal goin to the amp so it shouldnt have a problem of too high of a signal. i took the amp apart and there seems to be nothing wrong w/ the internals as far as frying it im sure i didnt because then the amp wouldnt turn on. please help i plan on selling this amp very very soon and i dont want it to be broken. thanx for any help ill be on all night

i am reaching here..maybe you accidentally cut or did not reconnect one of the low level connections. i tried to do the same thing and gave it up. it seemed logical to me that this was just an amp, it should work like one, right??? wrong! i would trace ALL connections. be sure the signal is making it to where your wires are. good luck...allen in Tampa

Do you have a friend with a system that will let you check the amp on his system?
