Hi All,
I'd like to hardwire the Harman Kardan Plug+Play to my stock stereo...It's an 01 Sport Trac with the basic non 6 Disc stereo. I've seen several posts on wiring an amp into existing speaker cable...but this doesn't help.
The Plug+Play needs to be hardwired 'cause the static through the FM transmitter is driving me crazy!
Please help!

I was thinking about installing one of those myself. Do you have the "wired" FM modulator or are you using wireless? I read somewhere on this board that you have to mount the wired modulator somewhere above the HU to get good sound.

I have the wired FM moudulator. Its better, but not great. What is the HU? Head unit?
I just actuallyfound what I need to hardwire this baby directly into the head unit.
Its from P.I.E. Its called an auxilary input converter. They make one for all car companys including Ford. It basically plugs directly in the back of the stock stereo and has a module with RCA ins!
You can get one from logjamelectronics.com
The part number is FRDN-AUX
Let me know if you have any questions

damn says it wont work with my 04
