aighty heres the deal, i replaced the motor in my buddys ranger and i wont start,all the harnesses are hooked up, its getting spark, and the fuel rail sure did squirt fuel at me when i checked it, the motor ran in the donor vehicle so i cannot figure out why it turns over but wont crank in this one

Ahh lets check the simple stuff like the starter.. Is it engaging? How about the starter solenoid on the firewall? can you jumper it and get it to start? Even though you are getting spark, it might not be enough.. Also you might want to check the crankshaft position sensor..
 






its def not the starter b/c its turns over fine just wont fire up
 






All the sensor connected? Like the IAC or MAF sensor?
 






is the crankshaft sensor supposed to have wires goin to it? because the old motor is so covered in oil and grease u cant tell
 






it should have some wires running to it.. It should have 1.5 volts to one wire with the key on..
 






hmmm is it just a tab looking think sticking out over the big pulley on the crankshaft?
