- 91' XLT
Hi all, I'm new to owning Explorers. I just got this one in November b/c I wanted 4x4 and my SHO doesnt see snow I store it. Anyway I have a 91' XLT which is stock EVERYTHING. I happen to have a Flowmaster 40 laying in my garage that is still brand new. I'm not really looking for any kinda performance gains, just a meaner sound. Would it make my X sound any better if I simply had my stock muffler cut out and the Flowmaster welded in its place without changing any of the piping or intake? I really don't have the extra $$ to spend right now so I figured if I could slap that Flowmaster on there and it would make a deeper more aggressive sound, then I'm all for it! Gimme your opinions. Thanks
