Re: sorry to inform you
Wrong. Ford 4R70W tranny converters have a drain plug. They were made from about 1995-2002. They were used in Ford F150's, Crown Vics, Town Cars, Grand Marquis, Explorers, and some E series Vans. Anything with a Ford 4.6L V8 produced after 1994 8 times out of 10 had the 4R70W behind it. In the case of the Explorers, it was mated to the 5.0L V8.
My 1995 Town car has the 4R70W tranny, converter has a drain plug. There are even access plugs built into the bell housing to get to it. The procedure for draining converters is detailed in the Ford factory service manual.

But there is no converters with drain plugs.
There may have been on some old converters, say in the 50's.
But no late modal converters.
P.S. I work for a converter rebuilder and only seen one with a drain plug. And it was on a 50 something chevy
Hope this helps
