Wrecked the Explorer!!!! Question....

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a recall notice on the tear drop style rims from a 2000 Sport? I wasn't paying attention yesterday afternoon and ran off the road and drove through a ditch about 30 feet then came out of the ditch....didnt think anything was wrong at first except a flat but when I got out both of my passenger tires were flat and the front rim was cracked almost to the center the other was cracked on the inner part of the rim.....will have pics up later when I take some

Wow, to many people are crashing thier Explorers. I hope its not the start of a trend. Sorry to hear that Mo, I have no idea about any rim recalls.

what exactly did you hit in the ditch?

That is what alumnium rims do.
The result is rather typical of what happend.

I was thinking the same thing this afternoon as I drove to NJ Turnpike from LI. I was with my wife and my 2 kids. It's a scary thought and to think what has been happening lately (to you, to Spas, and that other fella that backed into a tree). You guys gotta pay attention and be safe out there.

Glad to see you're ok though, Nows the time to get a set or Rock Crawlers with 31s and do the TT. You have the dents and scratches now to say you've been on the worst trails.

On a side note, I about lost it today too! It was raining hard out water was laying all over the road, hit a big puddle and the BFGs didn't like it. scared that **** outta me! I think its time for everyone to start be extra careful, or we'll all become extinct!

Actually nothing on the body with the exception of the gray plastic trim on the rockers was hurt, it's just falling off toward the rear fender but other than that I ruined 2 wheels, 2 tires and SOMETHING on the front end is out of whack and its all bent.
