WTB : '93 Exlporer Factory Stereo Wiring Harness

I would like to buy a factory stereo wiring harness from a '93 Explorer. I need the harness that is used to connect the wiring from the engine compartment to the stereo itself. I recently bought a new cd player and when I went to install it, I noticed that the previous had hard-wired the previous stereo. I would much rather connect via a harness. Please let me know if you or someone you know has one availalbe. Thanks.

Welcome to the site Richard! For the harness check the "for sale,trade and wanted" section...I think there are a few 91-94 Explorers/parts for sale..one of those guys might be able to get you a harness. Good luck man.

Well, if they hard wired an aftermarket cd player, then all you would need to do would be to cut the wires, and hook them up to the back of the new cd player. The colors should be the same, just rememebr where each one goes and it should take you that long. Or, I could give you the wiring color codes if you need, it is on the stock harness. The owner before me had done the same thing, but all you gotta do is just swap the wires. There are only like 2 that aren't hooked up to anything.

Thanks for the info guys. I know I could do that, but I would rather have the harness, just in case I decide to change stereos again. I am the type of person who likes to have something new every so often.

Hi guys/girls...

I would like to know the wire color code for the stereo on my 93 exploror. I am instaling a CD player and need to splice into the speaker wires. I was wondering what color is what speaker.
