Hello

My first set of lights are wired per instructions with the power lead directly off the battery.

What I'd like to know is when adding more lights, can I just keep attaching the power lead to the battery?, or is there a safe alternative than to just adding wires to the battery terminal?

The second set will be mounted on the roof rack, and I plan to use the relay and not take any shortcuts.

I am also planning to run both the ground and power lead along the rack, down/inside the rear hatch jamb, ground to frame, and extend the power lead under the vehicle to the battery/relay/switch.

Will I run into any problems extending the wire in regards to delivering current?

Thanks all in advance for your help, mv

best bet would be indeed to run it to the battery. One thing I did on mine since I have six lights on the roof and didn't want to run three power leads all the way to the battery was to install a fuse block under the rear seat, but if it is just one set, best bet would be to just extend the wires all thew ay there.
