I just went to use my X-Calibrator for my first tune and got an error

Anyone know about this error?

How do you "enable" the port?

The disabled port has to do with "chips" not a flasher.

Are you getting this error when you upload programs to the calibrator, or use the calibrator on the car? I didnt think the calibrator itself had the ability to report errors?

Nevermind, guess it does. from the SCT board,

Error code 18 is normally caused by waiting the 30 seconds and allowing the tuner to time out. make sure your flashing the vehicle in this order.

Press select to desired selection.
Hold down program until 4 lights flash
Turn key on.
Allow vehicle to flash.
When all lights down flashing, cycle key off/on.

It's an X-calibrator error, the calibration code that is in the X-cal may not be the same as what the computer is programmed to. His PCM may have been reflashed by the dealer.

I'm sending him a new X-cal set to read his calibration file and then return it to me to see if this is his problem.

Thanks guys for all your help! I know I can't be at my email all day so I really apprecaite you guys trying to aid.

Doug. :)
