X Won't Start

I have a 98 x ohv 4.0. It has started to act up the past two days. I have never had a problem with it yet. so, yesterday I pull into the parking lot turn it off, run in the store come out and it wont start. When I turn the key i get power and all but not a crank what so ever. I have noticed when I turn the key forward the break light comes on. When i let go the 4x4 flashes. Then After towing it home It started. Then It did it again today.

Im thinking either a neutral saftey switch or a ignition swithch?? Any Ideas

Start by checking all your battery cable connections.

Possibly a alarm problem??

Ignition or lockout switch definitely possible. I agree, start with the simplest one first - check for good, clean connections.
