Backed the car out of garage to check the rear turn signal bulbs before checking the multifunction switch. Turn signals is the original issue. When the turn signal wouldn't work I moved the steering wheel up and down several times. No luck.

No work was performed so I start the car BUT would only hear clicks, no engine turnover. Funny thing radio lost its preset stations so I think this is an electrical problem. I checked the fuses and the power distribution box fuses. Fuses look good. I disconnected battery while checking fuses and reconnect. Car still does not start. I have the original alarm system, it locks and unlocks but car does not start other than hearing the starter clicks.

Any help of where to look is appreciated.

That rapid tapping of the relay clicking? Stupid point to start from but did you kill your battery just enough to not allow the relay to hold connection. I believe it clicks under 9 volts. Not too hard to kill the battery in these things. And do a voltage drop to the starter if you have the tools to do so.

Thank you pcam13. I overlooked the obvious!!!
I charged the battery and voila. I was looking for a short or some bigger problem.
