I just purchased a new Pioneer CD P3300 for my X. It says it is XM ready, anyone out have this and how does it work? I know there is a monthly $10 fee. Do I still have to install the satellite radio tuner (thats about $250) plus the satellite antenna.

Was interested in getting this feature if it is worth while and worth the money? Any advise.

Thanks

If it's "XM ready", you'll have to purchase the separate tuner and antenna.

I had a long discussion with an XM rep this weekend and if you live in a remote area or travel quite a bit, XM may be for you. They've got about 150 different stations with a wide variety of music. It's just a matter of whether or not $10 is worth it to you.

Yeah it is just XM ready and I not sure how 'worth it', it really is because I do travel about 80 miles to work and 80 miles back every day. Listening to specific things sounds good but the cost of the tuner and antenna is quite costly and i guess at the present time I do think I am "XM ready" to spend that kind of cash, maybe when it has been out a little longer and some of the prices go down I will consider it.

Thanks for the info and tip.
