I have 1993 ford explorer sport 4.0 went to have smog check failed they said 02 sensors are bad . I know a lot of people fail smog and they put new sensors on and fail again, so i removed them bench tested both of them with a torch and they passed the resistor test, checked my haynes repair book. started with the power connection checked the Lt blue orange wire there was no voltage going to 02 sensors , the book says check fuse18 15 amp. went distribution box found no fuses bad. so i removed fuse box turned it over so i could see wires to fuses, found no Lt blue orange wire at box so i went to pcm found the wire there , so i tested wire to 02 connector no continuity so i installed another wire from pcm to a connecter before 02 sensor, now i had continuity but with key on no voltage at all.I checked again and again no power three days trying to figure out problem. Then i tried starting the car it would not start, so went to tank to listen to pump to come on heard nothing so i figured pump was bad dropped tank checked pump with another battery and pump came on, Now im thinking great now 2 places no voltage, every thing else seems fine. So what do you think bad PCM, one other note book says there is a fuel pump fuse at distribution box there is no fuse all fuses are good evan the ones under steering wheel. PLEASE HELP ME

yes i checked inertia switch the button was down even jumped the two terminals to see if fuel pump would worked still no power as far as the connector to 02 sensors i traced lt blue orange when i first started i found no continuity fom pcm and connector so i installed new wire from pcm to connector, now i have continuity but still no power, thanks for replying so fast, im taking pcm into a place where it can be tested tomorrow
 






checked inertia switch checked power going into pcm ok checked grounds ok also on the relays i checked them only by having my brother turning key to on position while i checked relays feeling them click all 6 relays clicked i when i had fingers on relays if you think i should check them for power i will do that when i wake up tomorrow, thank you for you reply. I do believe that the haynes explorer manual is not correct tried to find a manufacturers manual evan called the ford dealer worthington ford they did not have a manual and did not no where i could find one, i will try e bay tomorrow. thaks again for reply
 






I have read other posts with the same problem with no power going to connector feeding the 02 sensors the Lt blue and orange wire
 






forgot to mention both these wires one to fuel pump and the one to 02 sensors are wires that provide power for about 3 seconds

I have a follow up on my first report, my name is matt here we go again, as far as the fuel pump still not coming on when turning on key the car is getting spark. Today i hooked up a battery put some gas in a 1.5 quarts in a plastic container put the fuel pump assembly into container put wires on battery pump came on had it running for 3 seconds pulled negative wire from battery, waited a min then put wire back on battery turned on the car it sounded like it was going to start after a few attempts turned key off, and like i mentioned there is spark. Then i hooked up the car power to fuel pump and turned on the key no pump response . Then i went to distribution box pulled fuel pump `relay and jumped terminals 87 and 30 pump starts working and the key was in the off position, so i still have the same two problems no power going to 02 sensors and still no fuel pump coming on the correct way. Im thinking PCM is bad any thoughts and i appreciate your replies matt

I think you have a bad pcm.
