Yet another A/C Heater Blower issue

Finally finished my engine swap and put a couple weeks of use on it with everything going good until the heater blower suddenly only works on high. So after I read a bunch on here I go for the harder of the fixes, the blower motor resistor. Replaced it with a part from the "zone" but no go, still only worked on high. So I replaced the much easier part, the relay. Not a complete fix.

Now blower will start at any setting except the lowest but will work on lowest if I go higher then switch it down to low. Any idea why it's working this way?

someone recently posted with a similar problem and found that there was a problem inside the fan switch itself, which he thought had always been there from the factory. after taking the switch apart, he was able to fix it by re-soldering it. just a thought...

Did that before the parts swap-out. Seemed to be OK, used a V/O meter on the blades; more of a "see if I could disassemble/reassemble". Might try again now that I see how easy it is.

Any other ideas?

the guy had said it was easy to get it apart with a small screw driver under a couple of plastic tabs. good luck.
