Yet another thing that makes me hate ford.

Well, as many of you know i have had lots of problems with ford. from the service dept. to the dealer. to the owner of the dealer. welp they out did them selfs. I goto to check my bank acct # the other day to take some cash out and i find i have a -$600 bal in my acct.. now what might this have to do with ford you might ask? welp, i made 1 payment the other night to ford motor credit for my truck lease. i paid for 2 months (figured i would be nice and pay next month now) welp ford had a "Computer problem that night" and they doubble posted my payment. Now ya i know things happen.. but when i get told "we have to look into it and see what was really taken out, You will be credited in a day or 2" i flipped out. thats f-in bs. so now i have no $$ till tuesday due to there ****. i cant get a credit today due to it being a sunday. and tomorrow is a holidayso im screwed. thanks ford!! anyone have a corp # for ford? that i caould call and get maybe somone that cares? noone in ford seems to give a crap, at ALL. "were sorry" is the best i could get out of anyone.. anyone have any ideas?

sorry guys i just needed to veny. cause now im poor for the next 4 days and have no $$ and i cant even put gass in my truck.. BLAH!!!!!

my bank cant do anything.. the $$ was allready taken out of the acct.. i think thats BS but what ever..

Make sure you get Ford to pay for any bounced check fees, or any bank fees because of their error. Don't let them give you any BS, it's THEIR fault not yours.

Before I start my post let me agree with you -- yes, this sucks. Yes, they are morons for double-charging you.

BUT -- you have come across a problem that not many people realize in our 'plastic' world. Bank (debit) cards shouldn't be used like a credit card, even though it is very easy to do so. Using a credit card is dangerous enough, with people losing cards, getting numbers stolen, and in your case getting over-charged. The good thing about them though is that you have some time to deal with the problems -- if your statement shows up and you find some huge discrepencies you've got a couple months to figure it out and fix it. If you use your bank card, however, the money is immediately gone and you are hosed until you can get it straightened out.

The best advice in these situations is to get a credit card that you use instead of the bank card, and pay it off completely at the end of the month. If you are good about it you won't pay any interest charges -- and gain a good deal of protection.
