Despite having spent some time going through the countless sound upon acceleration posts, I am still not 100% sure what might be the issue here.
My 2007 Explorer is making a sort of rattling sound when I first accelerate. This only happens when accelerating from a full stop, and only for a split second once I press the gas pedal. The harder I step on the gas, the less sound it makes (or at least the shorter the duration). Likewise, if I press the gas pedal very gently, the sound is a bit longer.
Check out the attached file. The sound happens between seconds 2-3 and 12-13. Turn up the volume to hear it!
