Good Morning,
I'm about to embark on another journey with the Ford Exploder family!
My first vehicle (back in 2004, ha!) was a 1993 Eddie Bauer (teal w/ beige) Explorer, 4x4....many great times with that truck.
fast forward 15 years...and on a bored Friday night I was scrolling eBay no reserve auto auctions...as a teen I had dreamed of cruising in an 2005 Aviator, but here was a 2007 Mountaineer....the clear taillights of this model had always intrigued me. The more I looked at it the more I came to love the bodylines and symmetry of this SUV, especially in white. Thinking back, I had always loved the look of the 4th-gen explorer the most. To me, it had the most authentic "real SUV look."
So after looking at the pictures over and over again around 2am on a Saturday morning, I bid some "Trumpbucks" on it and went to bed.......
To my surprise, I awoke the next morning to a notification I had won the auction.
Well, now I'm flying to pickup the vehicle in PA on Monday and HOPEFULLY driving back down to TX. It's a little scary to buy a vehicle sight unseen, but the money hasn't left my hands yet.
Upgrades planned;
I've already bought a set of 2011-2013 Explorer 20" wheels from local craigslist for $100...looking to put some WIDE Pirelli p-zeros on these when I get back home. I'm curious about your thoughts on 255/35s p-zeros on these wheels.
Also interested in doing an F150 front seat swap.
