      HI

I took my Explorer in on Friday swap out the winter tires with the summer tires. The rims came back with scuffs across the out side and strange white milky marks. The mechanic says they are not new and are caused by corrosion but I could swear they were not there before. Could anyone advise what could have caused these and how to remove. I'll try to attach some pics.

Those could be caused by a few things.
If there were outside mount wheel weights there before
Mishandling of rims in tire mounting machine
Old corrosion as stated by shop

The picture of curb rash looks pretty old, the gashes appear to be filled with debris, not fresh and shiny looking.

      Thread title edited.
