New Trail in Trabuco Creek..?

I decided to take out the explorer today in hopes of finding a new trail. Well I found one. It's off Trabuco Creek Road about a quarter mile north of the little airport. I's not listed on any maps I've found, nor on any websites. Maybe you guys have been on it or know of it...? After passing the airport you come to a small split in the road, to the left a large mud puddle, to the right dry ground. Shortly after this split you will see the trail head on the left. After you go up the first hill it's an open area, to the left is the begining of the trail where a steel gate is. The trail is steep and the ground is loose clay. I made it up to the first fork, but turned around after that seeing that I had no idea where to go. When I got to the bottom of the trail, 2 nfs vehicles were parked on the other side of the road. I asked the 2 guys if the trail was ok to be on. They said I was welcome to use it and neither of them knew exactly where it led to. I found it on google maps thru the satellite imagery but other than that it's unlisted. Maybe some of you guys would want to come check it out with me..? I'm always available for weekday runs or even a short weekend run.

If you take that trail on up it will tie into 6W02. Go left and it will take you over towards Modjeska cyn., or you can try and go right which should take you towards the north Main divide. Either way should be doable and make for a quick day trip. The USFS employees probably didn't know where it went because it doesn't start on Forest land, to bad they couldn't take the time to look at a map...

Try hitting up Tbars as he is some what local if you decide to try it.

I've personally have never been that way, but have been up & down Trabuco cyn. more times than I care to remember......Just stay away from Blackstar cyn...:thumbdwn:...Last I heard there's a land owner at the top that likes to shoot at people!!!

Thanks for the real map and the clarification. Tbars and I are gonna hit up that trail sometime soon. Anyone else available for a quick run?

...i got a campsite for fri-sat nights at o'neil park...i won't be online tonight but will check back tomorrow...it's like 37 for first nite and 15 the second...an addittional car can park in same spot for $5....bring firewood if you are staying and it is 40* at night, 70* during day...you might call for reserv.
... btw, silverado is closed indefinately as they have a posted order of closure, as i went by and checked today...they also said they are stocking fish up by holy jim...

...i'm heading off now but hit up micromachine as i will be in and out of service...plus you can bring that carrier thats taking up room in your garage and maybe we can find a couple launchpoints for you guys to jump...
