Hi,

Today my vehicle had a sudden, substantial anti-freeze leak.
It is dripping from somewhere near the rear of the engine on the passenger side but cannot see the source.
Any suggestions?

Probably the lower thermostat housing o-ring is shot. If that is the case, buy the aluminum replacement and the gasket set.

Check the heater control valve? Replaced my twice so far.

Check in the valley between the cylinders with a flashlight. If there is coolant there and you have a SOHC, it’s the thermostat housing.

Second the aluminum housing. I know it’s much more spendy, but you’ll eventually end up buying it anyways.
