Need help quick, steering stablizer in the way.

Did the 1991 ex come with a steering stabilizer stock/as an option?
Mine has one underneath and it looks like it might be aftermarket.
Problem is that it's in the way of the hitch reciever I'm trying to mount. I need to know how bad performance is going to be without it. Really though I just need to know if it was stock.

I have never seen a 1st. gen with a factory stabilizer on it. If it were me I'd just remove it and see if it changes anything. I doubt it will.

I was able to move it back some.
it's definatly aftermarket, it clamped to the frame. I just unbolted it and slid it back.
