New to me 96 Exploder. First real drive last night and with unknown mileage (143,287 but odom not working) and all went well.

However, being **** about watching gauges, i noticed temp needle barely comes off the "C". Barely gets to the first hash mark on display. Anyone have an Exploder that does same?

Both my previous Exploders (99 and 05) temp needle were normally in the halfway range or a tad lower. If anything, I can use an old gauge from the Mustang to see where it's really at.

Maybe you don't have a thermostat. Usually that is removed by some sellers is to hide some overheating issues.

quite the possibility. I do have a check engine light n abs idiot light on. Truck will be getting a thorough going through soon. Check engine light doesn't bother me since I'll get codes read and already planned on doing O2 sensors. Now the ABS light,,,,whole 'nuther issue.

same problem when I got our 97, replaced the thermostat.. problem solved.

Thnx Kainon, will do. Cheap fix and easy fix.
