Air conditioning running all the time.

My air conditioning seems to be running even if not in AC mode.
 






Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the A/C & heater section. A lot of Ford systems use the A/C compressor clutch to slow the engine down while braking. I once had a 1989 Mercury Sable that did this. Does this happen when you have the heater on or any time? You could have a stuck relay.
 






Doesn't the A/C run in other settings also? I know it runs when set to defrost but should not run in heat or straight vent settings.
