dash fitment

I need to know if a 91 dash that looks like my 94 will work okay, I know it will fit but will the electrical side be the same or completely different. I was thinking it was 92-94, but maybe that was just the explorer dashes that would fit my ranger. Thanks for any help.

The 1991-1994 Explorer dashes are ALMOST exactly the same.

The main BODY of the dash is the EXACT same.
The wiring is different.
The 1991 and 1992 do not have an OFF position for the HVAC fan.
The 1991 and 1992 dash applique (insert, trim...whatever you call it) is different. 1991 and 1992 is flat on the face, while 93 and 94 are more curved.
Early X's had locking glove boxes.

I dont have a/c or cruise but the 91 dash and steering column does just was hoping it would bolt right up, but if wiring is different I should pass, dont do well with wiring.Thanks

You can take both dashes out,. set them in your driveway, and swap the harness from the old (bad?) dash to the new (to you) dash. That is not REALLY wiring, that is just boltin/screwing in a new harness.

my dash has no a/c and no cruise, cracked a little but not bad,really want to put a/c and cruise in.
