'94 XLT
I just got a '94 XLT and was curious if there was a way I can find out if it has factory remote entry. I didn't get a little keychain remote but I saw in the 1993 manual that it was an option.

Even if it doesn't have it stock, it should be pretty easy to wire an aftermarket unit since it has power locks, right?

I wouldn't think it would have one, but it is really easy to install one. I got a remote start/alarm/keyless entry with a couple thousand wires ;) Took me about a half day to put it in.

On my '96 (and a lot of other Ford vehicles) if you get in the truck, close the doors, and cycle your ignition from off to ACC 8 times or so.. if you have keyless entry the door locks will cycle. That is also how you program the remote when you get it. I'm not sure if 94s are the same though. Worth a shot.

If you have a keypad on the door, you have can use a remote too. No keypad, no remote.

Well, no keypad and ignition cycle didn't work. No remote :( Thanks all

'95 RKE receiver module

Where would the factory RKE receiver module be located
on a '95 model? What does it look like for a factory installed one.

I know what the kit module looks like. Ford
tells me they are completely different.

Thanks! My '95 has that same looking module in the jack
compartment right in front of the rear window washer fluid
container.

However, it doesn't seem to respond to the ignition key on - off
5 times ending in on sequence. I've tried quite a few times now.

If you have a keypad on the door, you have remote entry and the factory alarm. You either have all of the above or none of the above.

It has the module shown in the picture but no keypad.

Does that mean it came with the RKE key fobs or not?
