    well, a 4 ch bridged makes 2 channels, it might have the power, but i don't like giving a sub 2 different signals.

    saying a sub is slower was correct back in the '90's, but since then with bigger magnets and stronger ones, subs of all sizes are equal now.

    DC audio http://dcsoundlab.com/ i run 2 of their 12" lvl 4 XL off of a RF t40001 and it is brutal. i am also a dealer for them.

    Some basics to choosing the right audio system

    you will see a big improvement with an aftermarket head unit and an amp and sub, then work on the door speakers and maybe an amp for them, try to think ahead, if you need 4 ga. wire for one amp, but want to add another down the road, get the 1/0 kit.

    the 6x8 and 6x9 that i think you have should have all the mid bass you need. i'd look into some 8"s for up front and make them a midbass driver.

    you can ground to a battery as long as it is grounded, it will not hurt anything.

    don't they have a cooling fan in them? i just looked, they don't, also wiring subs backwards or wrong will just make the sub push or pull different, it will not at noise into the system.
