    Pulling a trailer with OD question

    +2 on the above advice... thee's very little load (approx. 500 lbs - empty ) 10% verses 5,000 lbs load. You should barely notice that little trailer bouncing around empty - which it will.

    The swaybar links would appear intact with the truck resting on the ground. Once the front end is raised... and the front suspension hangs freely.. the bolted end/links would be unattached and wobble freely. The movements over bumps would grind against the broken and exposed ends...

    Thats a hard decision. Could throw the money into the Mustang... cuz the 5.0 is worth it... but the insurance premium will bite you back Is the Explorer still intact? How about trading/selling the Ex for a newer 4.6 Eddie Bauer and start from there?

    O/D on/off light burnt out?

    Check with your dimmer (dash illumination) switch... with the illumination dialed down.... it will also fade out the O/D light.

    On my Ex; The rear tailgate door... watch the exact position of the outer handle. If its NOT exactly hortizontal, the 5th door lock will automatically unlock (from the locked position) after setting "lock all" from either d/f or p/f door. Took me a few head scratches to figure that out.

    '00 brake help!

    Sounds like the (internal) e-brake pads have formed a lip inside the backside of the rotor. Behind the rear rotors, there's a small cut-out window ... which is normally covered by a oval rubber cap. Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to peel it off to reveal the cut-out access opening...

    Did you pull the negative battery lead off for a spell? That would reset the system and remove any codes.
