In seach of making my 95 Ex an allaround capable offroad machine. I wonder if any one has done a coilover/ coil sprung rear suspension on the Explorer? Either a 4 link or triangulated.

EDIT: actually niether of those are coilovers.....but i doubt thats what you were talking about anyway.

there are lots of different types of rear end setups using coilovers.
a cantilevered setup can retain the seats and cargo floor.
3 link, 4 link, alot depends on what you are building it for. For 90% of off road users the leaf spring suspension can be built to handle the duties just fine.

Only reason i will ever run a link suspension will be if i get some serious axle wrap. But i will still use leafs to spring it only in a 1/4 elliptical fashion.
