Transmission for 4.6 V-8

Where is the best place to get my transmission replaced in my explorer in Calgary Alberta? I had the darn o/d light come on!!

Please tell me what you think.

I have no clue about Alberta but its always smart to do some calling around and find out from the shop what all they replace on a rebuild and of course price... probably get ALOT better answers that way

How many kms? What are the symptoms other than the od light? I fixed mine in YYC with the O-Ring servo fix. Quotes I got in Calgary were 3800-4200 for a rebuild.

Thanks so much. I found a shop that is going to rebuild it for just under $3000. They seem pretty good to me, they are very familiar with the problems with these years.
Not sure why Ford would allow this known problem to go on with out recalling the tranny. They gave a TSB for the problem, but no recall.:thumbdwn:
