Ahh you can use the PA 853 3" body lift for the Ranger, the 2" body lift for the 91-94 Explorer I believe its PA 792. If you use the PA853, you need to get bumper brackets made or ordered since the ones in the kit do not fit the Explorer. If you wish to make em yourself or have someone make em for you, you can use the following diagrams.

I believe the PA/Summit 883 kit doesn't work on the 98-01. I could have swore the steering extensions aren't the same but I'm not sure on that.

That is a shift lever extension for the manual transmission..

The steering extensions may be the same, I don't think anyone has ever compared them side by side. You would figure Ford wouldn't have changed the design too much overall on the shafts since its a common part that is shared on the 883 kit for the 98-00 Ranger and the 1998-2001 Explorer and possibly 1995-1997.. I don't see Ford having a seperate steering shaft in the middle of a production line that only had minor body changes.

i calld my local ford dealer up and they said that 98-01 is not the same as 97

Thats what I figured, so apparently the steering shafts are different..

Do you think a 01 Sport Trac body lift will fit an 01 Sport? the both have the same front bumper and pretty mch the same rear?

ok so the body lift will bolt on with no porblem all i got to do is the bumper blackets

Body Lift for an 97 4x4

Does this BL fit to an "normal 4x4 (V6) too?

Now i have just modified the torsion bars an the leveling system. But it's a lot harder to drive...

What do you mean by a lot harder to drive.... I need to know, i'm going in like 2 weeks to get that done. Is the truck more stable on the road and off.Is it harder to turn corners. Thanks

Hy.

the suspension is much harder than in an other average SUV.
You can feel everything on the street, little, really little rocks too...

I am searching for a good solution, because in sswitzerland it would be very expensiv to mount a Liftkit. They would'nt accept it....

Are those diagrams for the frotn and rear bumper or just one or the other?

i bought the pa 883 from summit for my sport and it fit fine i really didn't have to put the extention in but i did any way and i just cut my front plastic bumper to fit around the steel one heres some pics

Newb Q:
Why is it that I find it difficult to find body lift kits for a 96? WHat is so unusual about these couple years?
Thanks!
Matt
