A body lift or body kit? Im not sure about a body kit but a body lift is about 105 for a 2in and 110 for a 3in. There are alot of suspension/body lift combinations out there to choose from. It depends on first your budget and then what kind of wheeling you do and what performance are you looking to get out of you suspension setup. Do a search and look at other peoples setup and mix and match to your liking. You should be able to do alot with $3500. My 91 ex has a 3in body and 5in suspension and 35s. Here she is just after a wash.

Welcome to the forum! I would suggest giving it a mild lift (Shackles and coil spacers) before going all out.
As for the body lift, just search "body lift" and you will have plenty of options.

welcome smit and 91 what kind of car is that in the background the silver one is that a lincoln or what

Haha yea that was my brothers other car its a lincoln continental, mustang 5.0, JBA headers and no mufflers.

Welcome to the site dude

As far as the body lift goes.... Like mentioned above you can get the whole kit for $100-$150. Although some kits do not come with the shifter extension, so make sure you find out about that ahead of time. They are about $30-$40 more if not included.

But the install isnt too bad, it is possible to do by yourself, I did it on my own in 2 days on my 2dr. But a helping hand could allow you to do it in just a few hours. (I also really take my time so that there are no mistakes. I would also recommend spraying all of the bolts the day before.

If you do go in this direction it makes dropping the transmission and such a lot nicer as you have 3" more space, so the 2 top bolts are a breeze. Although the cab does shake a fair bit more out in the bush.

As far as size, it depends a little on the wear of the truck, I fit 32x11.5 yokohama geolander at+II with a 3" body lift and wheel well trimming.

Hope this helps.

so 91exploreron how much did the 5 inch suspention end up costing you? if the 3 inch kit iis like 150 tops thats no biggy.

Well actually its just a 4in suspension lift which I believe cost me $740, and I added shackles and a 1in spacer up front so it wouldnt rub. If you do the 3in body lift you only need the shifter extension if your truck is a manual and its very possible to do it by yourself. It only took me 5hours by myself with no air tools and a jack and thats also having to drop the gas tank to get to one of the mounts.

thats not too expensice, i like tour setup so im thinking about copying the base of it and might go with diff other stuff. did you have to do any wheel well trimming to fit the 34's?

if you guys dont mind linking pics or ur explorers and tellling me what you bought and how much each piece costed you that would be really helpful to see what sort of lift i would mostly want. thx

Who me? I have 35s and I didnt have to trim but I wheel hard and it rubs when the suspension fully compresses.
