nice lookn X... i'd lose the clear tail lights, running board, and the big plastic wing thing above the rear hatch, and give me your brush guard but thats just my opinion...once again good lookn X tho

left the deflector as is. black on black is fine by me, but definitely should be painted to match the body color imo.

clears are long gone (like a good year +ago), now have the smoked ones. running boards are nice with the lift so i dont have to climb in lol. thanks!

haha, no copying!! or at least give me some cred for the idea : it was all of $30 for the pipes welded in, and $75 per tip. if you do it though don't use chrome use stainless tips lol, mine look like shyt right now cuz theyre all sorts of pitted.

i have a pic of the set up somewhere.... if i come across ill post it

I have seen that done alot. I'm not a huge fan of the rounded tips I am getting the rounded off rectangle tips...

well man looks you and I are in the same boat. I am 16 and I got my 97 xlt from my grandma but i got a hell of a deal. about half price of kelly blue book. so i was happy. but it was a purple color but anyway, i too was looking at what to do to mine to make it cool. here is a link to what i have done to it so far. i actually just got 31" tires with black rims and they look great but i dont have a picture of them on there yet. just got them last night. as for exhaust - learn from my mistake. dont get them dumped. i know i was stupid but i didnt know. the guy at the shop told me it was legal and i believed him. now i am currently in the process of fixing it. it will cost me close to $200 for something that cost me $20 to do. i was not happy when i heard it was illegal. but i have dual glass packs on mine right now. it sounds great. i know many people dont like the way they sound but i think they sound great. even at high way speeds they roar (but not too loud) so i like them a lot. next i will be getting it painted black. hope this helps you out man. i have loved my explorer so far.

good deal man yeah whenever you get pictures of your tires gone and put em up. but does anyone know what size lift I need for 35 inch tires? 33 inch? in debating between the two any suggestions for that?

well there is another thing that i have also debated. I wanted to have 35" tires on mine. So in order to get those, i had to get a 7" lift on mine. so it was going to be amaizing. but the parents shot that idea down. but this should help you out some. it helped me.

3" BL ,TT, & shackles is what i have to run 33's on my 96
