I hooked up to the screws holding the plastic piece holding the wire harness crap to the front of the engine bay? I think they're good ground points...

Ground to the frame. Don't take shortcuts - do it right ( the first time ).

The wires aren't too long, I grounded to a screw that's on each side.. which goes into the front metal part of the body.

I'll go take pictures.

What part of ground to the frame wasn't clear? You continue to do things half ass and they will bite you in the ass.

Good luck ....

Where? If you can give me a good place.. then I'll do it.

cap = capacitor? and you're saying put it inline of the battery wire?

yeah a capacitor, i'm saying put it in the negative lead that goes to what ever you don't want interference in because it will clean it up and send out a smooth signal. Its an old trick radio guys used to do.

nothing huge or anything, go to radio shack and get something like an 200ufd rating

I wonder if it would help a lot if I put a capacitor in both HID grounds, and in the CB ground...

Is it only for grounds?

well no, but in a DC world electron movement goes from negative to positive, so you're cleaning it up before it goes through the load.

Ah, that explains why everyone says disconnect the negative first..

That always confused me...

well in a vehicle your negative lead goes to your chassis so basicly your whole car (well the metal part any way) is your negative lead. so if you disconnect that then that is all gone.

Do you by chance know of a way of resetting the computer without a reader and disconnecting the battery? Is there a fuse I can pull and put back in?

And what would your next suggestion be after using caps on the ground wires for the hids/cb if that doesn't work?

Umm why are you reseting your computer?

I don't think its gonna be a problem after the caps. but tell me if you still have problems.

I'm going to reset the computer after the catback install, also so it can get used to the new intake.

hmm guess i never did any of that when i was installing stuff and it ran just fine and adjusted to what it needed. I love the OBD-II its the best thing to happen to vehicles ever.

What about when OBDIII come out? =)

I put a set of those hid's in my boss's infinity awhile ago he had the same problem so i added a relay and the problem went away

the bi-xenon hid kits have a relay already..

Alright, all upgrades installed.
Current issues:
After looking at a few things, I guess the low/high were correct in the first place.. I'm going to have to switch them back..
I'm getting flickering issues with my HIDs, Aldive [or anyone else] Can you give me pictures of better location for grounds? My power connection to the battery is perfect.. I need ideas for better ground points that I can reach.
The Catback sounds so fu**in awesome!
