Obviously this would void the 4x4 option, but I dont really mind that. just want the extra lift. From the looks of things it seems the front drive shaft and the front differential (cv's ect..) need to be removed. and i think i heard the 4x4 hubs need to be replaced with 2wd wheel bearings. Is there anything else that needs to be changed?

I have been running 2wd on my 4wd '01 sport for a few months now. It is of course temporary!! I am still in the process of a coil-over conversion and gear upgrades. Anyways, here are some pictures to help you out:

Here I am using the outer cv cups to preload the 4x4 hub bearings. In my offroading past I broke two cv's, if your wondering how and where I got the outer cv's cups.

No center diff here = no front driveshaft

Because i dont use the 4x4 much and would rather have 3" lift spindles. So i could..

Remove the front differential and cv's entirely.
Get Lift Spindles
And get 2wd wheel bearings

Is that all? Also what wires have to be removed to remove the differential?

i think you need 2wd rotors too
