Wheel spacers

just wondering if anyone noticed while in 4wd turning sharp a grinding sorta clunking sound.

I just installed 1.5 inch

Does it do it 2wd? If not it has nothing to do with the spacers.

no it does not.

thanks for the help

If you have 4WD on while on bitumen, or any other hard surface, then the grinding noise is "normal"; but not in a good way. You should avoid having 4WD High or Low selected if you are driving on hard surfaces - it's really only for offroad, snow etc. Keep it in 4WD Auto, and it will kick in when needed (I've read reviews that say it is that good in Auto mode anyway, the reviewer couldn't tell the deifference between having 4WD High set, and 4WD Auto)

its pouring rain out, soyes i was on the pavement while it was soaked.

Try it on dirt and see if it goes away. I would not run in 4wd on pavement even in the rain. If yours has the auto 4wd it works great for rain or snow.

yes those will work!!! those are actually the same ones i bought. they give it a nice look, and you can feel the extra stability too:D

Got any pics of yours with them installed?

no im in class right now, but when i get home (around 12:45) i will take some with the tire off and on. i need to take the tire off to re-tighten the bolts cause they feel a little wobbly.

the spacers are really a good buy, you will love the look. will post pics later.

RB are you running wheel spacers or do your wheels just have that much offset?

My wheels have a 4" backspacing and a -12mm offset. :D
No spacers here.

Your wheels seem to sit out a lot more than the wheel spacers provide. Does 4" backspacing equal a 4" wheel spacer?

No, it means the surface where the wheel touches the hub is 4" away from the inside lip of the rim.
My rims are also an inch wider than stock though.

you also have to take into account the tire size...the tires on mine are 255/70 to roadbullys 285/75

so basically his tires are around 1.25 inches wider..making them stick out another .75 inches

once i upgrade tire sizes they should be close to the same
