86EXPLORER86's 04 Explorer

Hey 86, did that solve all of the problems you were having with the spacers, or is there still stress at certain points? Any issues so far? And are these the $500 ones you were referring to in the RB thread?

My advice is take off the spacer lift. Even if you have to downsize tires, although the glass might allow you to keep the size you have. I wouldnt beat on it too hard with the stock spindle and spacer lift at all.

NEW ARMS & UNIBALL JOINTS ON STK SPINDLE 10X STRONGER THEN BALL JOINTS

THOSE CUTS ON THE COIL ARE FROM THE STK ARM BEING TO SHORT WITH THE 3'' SPACERS

DRIVES LIKE IM FLOATING ON AIR WITH THE NEW ARMS

Nice, i was there a few nights he was working on them. I really like the 2 piece design using a 4130 Camburg tube clamp. Makes servicing the joint super easy and it can be done without messing up the alignment.

Those new arms look good but I'd recommend having them redesign it and adding some gussets around where the uniball mounts to the control arm.. The last thing you want is in a front end accident is the control arm snapping like a twig.

well why dont you try to design 3rd gen arms?

they are the first set and are way beefy in person

i agree they look alot stronger then the sheet metal stock ones haha.

There's a reason why I say that.. I've seen a custom chassis vehicle that was hit in front accident and basically the control arm snapped at where the uniball/balljoint attached. It was very similar in design to the set you had with only two side points of attachment to the uniball mounting area. The guy eventually modified his design to add a 2 pieces of tube behind the uniball mount that connected both tubes and the mount together so that in the event he got hit again it wouldn't buckle.
