My local dealer in Norway is demanding $350.00 for a new EPC solenoid.
Can someone please direct me where to order a EPC for my '96 4R55E in the US ? Was hoping to find a solenoid for for a bit less than that.

I've just got them from 800700tran.com. The tech said the red band is fine for the 4R55E and consider it'a a update. I'm about to install them into my 95 Explorer 4R55E.

Have sent them an email, but seems like they don't want to reply :(

They don't reply to emails for some reason, which wasted me a whole week. Just called their 800 number or just purchase one off the website. I finally got hold of Anna and we ended up getting the same 5R55E VB and soleniods off the website. They shipped pretty quick though.

Damn , hate companies that has a webpage and email, but refuses to reply when contacting them.

Someone else who has an opinion whether i can use the red XL2Z-7G383-AA ?

Asked a ebay-seller if they would work on my '96, her is his reply:
--------------
it will work on 95 & 96 models , but generally not suggested. There
is a slight difference between the 2 designs ( ohms & pulse ).

Thanks for pictures, but they didn't give me much. What does the difference between the red and the green one mean in practice ?
