i did the brown wire mod the other day and i love it, but i was wondering what the limit is on the transfer case is. like how long you can spin the tires with out damaging it. will it make any noises when you went to far? i mainly did it so i could drift and burn out in snow more easily but one risk said that you shouldnt spin the tires too much. any input?

thanks

i heard someone say that kind of thing is really bad for the clutch that engages the front driveshaft. it would be like driving a manual trans and letting the clutch slip non stop. you would be building up alot of heat on a part that was not meant to take it. i think most people do the brown wire mod to be sure not to put too much torque onto the front end of the drivetrain during certain situations. not so much so you can do burnouts.

ya thats what i read too, but i was wondering if there were any signs that would let you know you have pushed it too far

holy crap. maybe i should return it to stock lol i dont want to blow a hole in my transfer case.

I dont think there are any signs informing you that you pushed it to far till its to late and the transfercase has gone to the other side.
