yeah i agree, im going to start looking at it closer and playing with ideas.
here's an idea im currently playing with. I've got this little turbo up on the local craigslist. ive had a couple hits of it already, got it up to make a profit (for sale for $110). I've got a couple people who are good at sourcing good factory TurboCoupe .63/.60 turbos and rebuilding them. for about $200-$300 i could have a rebuilt, correctly sized turbo with either no internal gate, or a gate with a removable actuator that i could then swap with a 5lb spring actuator. i admit the little turbo was an impulse buy haha, but no harm done.
what is your fella's take on this?
as far as mounting the turbo.. i've got a couple ideas floating around that i think may work, but need to see what kind of room i've really got.
oo.. and here's my baseline hp, got the truck dyno'd today and my current tune straightened out for the motors mods i've already done. also got a boost tune for 42lb injectors and the slot maf blow through setup.
the tune i was running had a half-a$$ auto tranny delete on it, which caused it pull timing and advance timing for torque load junk that it doesn't need for manuals. won't mention names of who previously tuned it, but it's all taken care of now
