4th Gen Explorer Pictures

Yea I agree that it looks better. Why did you get rid of the brush guard? If gas wasn't so high (for no reason!, I might ad) I'd drive over there. Man, I want an oil derek in my back yard lol

I designed a custom grille guard that I was planning to build that would have looked awesome!!.... but I lost interest. I'm not going to do it now.. I don't plan on keeping this truck much more then another year

I know what your talking about FLOffroad, but it would help the econimy out. Cheaper gas and more jobs. But anyways, the UCAs what would be different about them? Like what needs to be changed? Is it just meterial or putting bends in it to lower the ball joint?

Oh I see. Oh it be nice to have 2 Xs lol

Be happy to have you take it off my hands lol.. no discount though:p: haha

Mmmm, I'm not exactly a fab expert, I just do a lot of research, etc., but I would guess that using the higher strength/lighter weight materials helps, but I think the most important part is making it so they can extend out/down further and maintain good angles.
I'd definitely find a local fabricator or something to talk to about that stuff more in depth. I'm not actually an expert with that stuff, I just really wish I was.

Send a PM over to the BTF Fab guy (you'll find a lot of his posts in the 3rd Gen section), he'll know for sure.

Yea I was gonna say, I talked to BTF and they said they can make a full long travel suspension system for 3rd and 4th gens. Rear end too!

Well... you know, he is in California...somebody maybe should, uh, leave their Ex with him for research and such.

The pic's of that BTF long travel kit look awesome. I don't think that they'd sell it if any of the components scored/rubbed any place, they look sweet as.

The scorring issue is one that anyone running a spacer lift could possibly have. The axle shaft goes too far down and it will hit into the frame loop. I know ronin said at full droop (with his spacer lift) his axle shaft hits into the frame loop.

Sorry mate, I thought you were talking about the long travel kit. Oops my mistake.:thumbsup:

I would love one of those kit's. Just a wee bit out of my price range and I'm not going to be running in Baja or Dakar anytime soon (ever?) so I'll just watch and drool :D:thumbsup:

This is gonna sound really weird, but imagine a "clean" sport trac (pic 1), with the "baja look" (pic 2), wide fender chop (pic 3), and this whole custom BTF long travel suspension kit or who ever else can make one. I love the 4th gen face and always try to make excuses to get another ex with that face of some sort. I think this would be pretty BA! And the gay part... this thing would ALMOST better then a Raptor imo. Go ahead.. call me crazy:rolleyes:

No poofter's in that idea mate. That would look, drive, BE bloody awesome. In my opinion....You ain't crazy.

If you're really interested King, Dave Turner (the guys who built and run that ST you have in the 2nd photo) offered to sell some cut front fender flares like the ones they run on their ST. I forget what he quoted me. He seems like a pretty nice (sometimes take a while to respond to emails), but he was very helpful and responsive in his details. He offered some HD CVs too, but they were pretty expensive. Just send him an email.
Again, you're a lot closer than I am.

picture 3 bro looks like those toyota land crusier but its a lexus suv something lx

I'm very new here, and its hard for me to find my way around, <noob

But I'm trying to look for some technical answers, my 07 explorer that I just got a few weeks back is having some problems, the two rear wheels are wobbling very badly for some reason. Can any body help?

Maybe go get them balanced wherever you normally take your vehicles.

My new 08 Ironman X (on the left). Still partial to the zinc yellow on my old 03 NBX (right), but the Ironman has some cool features...the amber fog lights are sweet (I'll have to post a pic of those later).
