i just changed my spark plugs and wires on my truck and i was wondering if they looked like there could be a peoblem in my engine.

im just curious because of the rust on the plugs

Those look really bad.check the new ones after a couple miles and see what they look like

yeah, the problem is they should have been changed about 5 years ago,, the gaps are so wide i don't even understand how the engine would have run smoothly at all, electrodes are almost gone,,

No idea how long they were in there. I've had the truck for 4 years and my brother had it before me for a couple years. Change plugs and wire the other day. Before i changed them the truck would sputter every time i got on the gas. I couldn't even get the wire off the plugs i had to cut them off the plugs. I know the plug have at least 80xxx miles on then because that's how many miles I've put on the truck. Truck runs great now doesn't sputter at all. But that last plug on the pass side by the firewall sucked to get to and get out. Had to get the socket on thru the fenderwell and loosen it from the top
 












This reminds me of when I changed the plugs in my explorer.

It ran fine, only a slight miss at idle.
