Steve, that thing looks awesome!! It would look incredible if the Tupperware was black!

Looks awesome, Steve. From earlier pics it looks as if the wheels are about even with the fender. With that spacer would you cause any rubbing issues on the back of the fender when you cut the wheel? I think spacers would look awesome, but then you will fling rock and shiz all over your paint. Either way it looks good. All the wheels you have ran or considered look awesome. Its harder to find a decent looking rim for the 2nd gen.

And with the tupperware being painted black...yeah I think it may look good, but I really like the white and silver combo.

Thanks Ron and Sport. As for spacers, a 1" spacer would give me the same offset that I ran with my 285s and didn't have any rubbing. My 285s had a -6 offset and didn't really seem to kick stones or mud up onto the side of the truck like expected. And ron I think I'm with sport on this one, but I kinda like the contrast with the grey trim lol. Plus the accents in the rims are almost the same color as the trim

haven't updated this in a while, but i've installed an Underdrive Crank/Harmonic balancer pulley and an Underdrive Water Pump pulley. have all the parts for my e fan conversion, just waiting on a fan motor and a bit more money.

i quit my job recently and am working on a new venture, but until then no more money can be spent on Vera :(

Let me know how the underdrive pulleys help out the power, if any. Had a laugh at this pic above. I do hate the stock harmonic balancer. Mine has destroyed two front main seals, but supposedly its in balance.

i've had them on for two weeks now. theres a good power boost at 3k and up and the throttle response is improved. the electric fan should help more on hp and throttle lag. i had mud and stones packed into each of the holes, had to use a tap, brake cleaner, an air compressor, a punch, a hammer, and screwdriver to get the puller holes cleaned out.. it took about a whole day lol. I was going to install an Overdrive alternator pulley, but the voltage levels seem fine to me.

also, i'm not sure if the UDP's helped, but my rpm's at 40mph are about 950 and my rpms at 70 are right around 1750-1800

Good to hear! Link and price?

Okay guys, here a little update. I quit my job just over a month ago for an opportunity to own my own company, so i went for it. I've been owning an managing my own business(3 employees) for almost a month now. Seeing the kind of income i'll be making, i had decided to sell off my explorer and upgrade to an expedition(5.4L). Well that plan was going fine until my mom told me about this kid she worked with who wrecked his camaro and needed to get rid of it. Needless to say, i went and looked at it Tuesday night and bought it Wednesday morning.

It's a 1996 Camaro Z28, lt1 v8, t-tops, tan leather interior, factory bose sound system, traction control, and only 87,200 miles. Picked it up for $1400 because the kid couldn't afford to fix it. He lost control on an S curve and slammed into the curb, destroying the two driver side rims, front spindle/rotor/knuckle, and the rear end.

So here is how she sits(not my garage), and she'll need the parts mentioned above plus a set of rims and tires to get rolling. the body damage is minor and there is no damage on the under carriage surprisingly. It dosent look like he bent the K frame or any thing else up front . I've got deep pockets and big plans for this car. I won't be insuring it or even driving it untill next spring, so she'll be a monster by then. Planning on roller rockers, lt4 hot cam, vigilante 3200 stall, 3.73 gears, Transgo HD2 shift kit, maybe a valve job, have the heads worked, Functional ram air steel hood, and of course, headers and a cat back exhaust system.

Pictures!

Standing by for pics of the re-transformation.....................

Steve, I should have my front end complete this summer. Thanks for all your help! :biggthump

Not a problem at all Ron! Glad to hear your ex will be getting some love

an hour after i sold the rims i got this picture. Apparently the guy drilled out the lug holes on the rims(5x114.3) to fit the s10 pattern(5x120.7) Lol

i actually have amber leds to go in the corners, but after several wiring attempts, i couldn't get them to work without hyperblink. i do like the look of the switchbacks, but i decided on amber leds because my clearance lights are also amber led, so it matches i guess, lol

I will now be putting switchbacks in the camaro though :D
thanks!
