2013 Explorer Sport Pic Thread

I'm starting this thread because when I was new to the board and in the market for a Sport, I was having trouble finding owner's photos of their rides. Hopefully this helps/inspires others to get an Explorer Sport.

Here are some new pics of mine with the window tint.

I have better photos but I didn't want to take the time to blur out my license plate.

Good idea and I agree totally, thanks for starting it. These are all from the day I picked it up so the truck is not detailed. Doing that this morning and will break out the camera afterwards.

So Steve, Is your the all black or sienna/black interior ?
YOU must be the one that bought just before my wife decided on it

We had to wait a week for another to come in !!!

Watch for her driving around your neck of the woods !

Where did you buy? I was up there one day picking something up and one of the dealers showed a couple with their daughter my car since they didn't have any on the lot....

We looked at one at 5 star in North Richland Hills IIRC ? but we ended up at AutoNation in Arlington
missed out on the sienna inserts in the interior... really a classy look...
the black is still great though !

Actually Peter, my first choice was a black one, but after 80 miles of driving I found that black one has no navigation, but thank god the dealer was so nice to find me this white one from another dealer for exchange.

Well, I think with the white you have saved yourself a lot of work keeping it clean looking. Neighbour has a black Escape and washes it weekly. Really shows the dirt/dust whereas that is hardly noticeable on the white as are minor scratches and swirl marks. It also remains much cooler in direct sunlight.

Glad to see you found your at one of our Texas stores. Im a new car sales manager at Autonation Ford East in Cleveland. Hope you were well taken care of. I will be posting my White/Sienna Sport hopefully when it rolls off the truck this week. But yea not one sport has made it to the lot for sale. usually sold before they even come in or the one sold in 2 hours after coming off the truck. The demand is crazy, but in comparison to the Limited the price is definatly in line in my opinion. Enjoy.

Sport Model

I just really noticed the grille on the Sport. It must be a bit of work to keep that clean with that diamond pattern. Especially when you start 'scooping' up all those seasonal bugs.
My next one may be a Sport, depending upon how the current Limited model looks for the 2016 release. I just have a problem with the lack of interior colours available. Personally, I don't particularly like the black or combo that is currently available. I find the Light Stone allows for more contrast of the various finishes inside. Hopefully the choice will widen in the next 2 years.

That would work out better for me since my lease is up in March 2015. If the 'refresh' didn't happen until 2016, I would have to extend my lease assuming that there would be a photo or description of the new model available to check out at that time. Fingers crossed.

13 - Yes, I was taken care of and still am a few years back I tried to find a good salesmen that had been doing it a while and have worked with him since...

He sees me coming and says he knows I'm going to shop him so he just prints off the invoice and works down from there on most vehicles I get from him... (like my new 13 350 platinum!)
the fact that I've bought a bunch of cars from him for years - he tries to give the impression at least that he's taking care of me !

But the 1st sport we looked at was on the lot for one night before it sold! So he had to go searching and couldn't beat invoice on it since it was another dealers allotment... but we're good with the 15k 39 month lease and certainly good with the tux blk metallic sport !

The truck didn't come in with a rear sway bar and I wanted one since I tow heavy with it... so he's going to give me a loaner while they put it on for free (last bit of negotiation on the deal to move my hitch and install a sway bar)

we're tickled pink with both 13's !!!
and FINALLY I get a newer car than the wife (but only by a few weeks !)
