Cam Shaft Gear Torx Bolt Removal

Anyone have a trick to removing this bolt?

While not letting the crank turn.
Do I need to heat it up first?

Also, is it reusable, or get a new one?

Looking at pictures can you stick a big screw driver through the sprocket into the block to kinda lock the sprocket from rotating. I would try something like that..

That did it. I've done that before, don't know why it didn't come to mind.

Picture below is reassembled, just showing where I placed the screw driver. Opposite side to torque it down.

Bolt is boogered up, think I'll get a new one. The Torx bit hole isn't very deep.

Couldn't replace the guide without removing the cam gear.

All back together, just not torqued down. Anyone use like a blue loctite on the bolts? I've not, just torqued to specs. But I hold blue loctite as a close friend.

NAPA sells Cloyes timing kits. Used one on my '04 4.6l.
Guide and tensioner had Ford numbers on them.
