2004 Explorer Sport Trac
Hello all,

Im new here, and my purpose for join is to learn more about the process and what it would take to lift my sport trac. I love how they look lifted, and just now got the money to do it. So I guess my question is how much is an entire package going to cost to lift it 3.5 - 4 inches, put the new rims/tires on it, and pay someone to install it all. A bit more info, this is a more for looks build so I dont need any of the extreme offroading capabilities (although I do go down some dirt roads so I dont want to lose offroad capability, just not gonna be doing runs with it and stuff)

Also does lifting it hurt the vehicles performance (MPG) or damage any parts quicker?

Thanks for helping a newb out!

Edit: Going for looks, something like this

welp…
There are threads that will give you options to choose from…

you can shop rims/tires online and get the price then you call Your local shops for install price

Again You will have to call local shops/off-road shops for price on install of the lift

Hey bud are you 4wd or 2wd?

Don't buy a super lift kit. They are next to impossible to get within 6 months and cost almost as much as a solid axle swap.

Best thing to do is a 2" torsion twist, either Warrior #153 leaf spring shakcles or a pro comp add a leaf spring. Then do a 3" performance accessories body lift. This allows you to fit 35x12.50s.

A few pictures of mine with that setup:

As it sits now with an SAS:

If you want more info check out my registry linked in my signature. Also each on here for Lono100 and MidnightRebel.

Thanks for the replies. Mine is a 4x4 btw

I guess I like being confusing lately haha. At least I did say it was with the SAS this time.

Ok, since you're 4wd make sure you don't crank the torsion bars more than 2". You'll bind the CV axles and run through ball joints in no time.

when everyone says 2", just to clarify, is that 2" measured before you rock/settle the suspension or after suspension has settled? I just assumed after when I did mine but it settled quite a bit- if I can remember, I want to say a good 1/2" but I would have to find where I put my measurements

osa, the truck you pictured is a 2wd with a spindle lift, torsion twist, spring over axle, 37" tires, a Chevy 350. You can't get your 4wd to look like that without a solid axle. That said, you should do a solid axle anyway.
