I need some opinions on this before I go any farther.
have a 93 explorer 8.8 in my ranger. On the bottom of the diff they have a big lip that likes to hang up on rocks. A shave of the diff like the 14 bolts would be nice but a bit extreme for me right now. So this is what I came up with.
Here is the lip on the bottom of the diff.
I cut a few plats out of 1/4" on my plasma table and then welded them together like so.
Then I did a quick tack to see how I liked it.
This is where I am at right now. I am trying to decide if it is worth it to weld it on? What is the best way to weld it to the diff? Anyone else interested in this?
