Does anyone know if the 2011-current 20'' 5 spoke split rims will fit on my 2006 EB, I really like those wheels but need to know if it will fit before ordering them, any and all info is appreciated.
From what I see the bolt pattern is same, but the center bore is smaller on the new ones. The hub may not fit inside, but that's only from reading the numbers on the web.
No, right off the top of my head I can say they are designed for a primarily FWD vehicle so the offset is all wrong for our RWD generation. Also, ExplorerPL is correct in saying that the center bore is too small.
I know it's an old post, but maybe someone will still benefit from my input.
Hub bore on 2011 X's is 63mm or so, all previous X's are 70.5mm. To address that issue, you need to run 1/2" spacers, or bore out the 5th gen rims to fit.
Bolt pattern is identical (5x114.3), offset is identical (44mm), although going from a 7-inch wide to 8.5-inch wide rim will factor in to that.
I believe I have the rims you are talking about on my 2007 Explorer. Like I said, I had to have the centers bored out to 70.5mm by a machine shop. Fit 245/50R20 tires on, but you could probably get away with 255/50R20 without having to run spacers.
I'm running those too on my ST but now i have to change tires and was planning to get 275/55/20 and get some 1" wheel spacers but not to sure if those tires will fit, nice ride LifeExplorer
