Just got my official notice today via email that Ford is discontinuing the Vehicle Health Report function on Sync.
Some people used this to lower their insurance costs.

I got mine as well. I've never heard of anyone getting lower insurance because of it. Dont know why they would.

I kinda saw this coming, as the feature was difficult to access and poorly documented in both of our Sync (regular, not Sync 3) equipped 2017-2018 vehicles, a change from vehicles I’d previously used it in with the same style of Sync (but with the text only LCD). I had to manually access the app while my phone was plugged in via USB, and the instructions were less than clear. It was the same on our Escape and Explorer.

I’m guessing folks were using it to report mileage to track usage?. Some insurance companies cut you a break if you don’t drive over a certain number of miles.

The VHR always worked properly on my 2013 Fusion and this Explorer, even last week it automatically asked me via the display screen if I wanted to send a report to Ford and I did.
Sync 3 may be a big reason it is being ended but I wonder how many owners actually used this 'complimentary service'.

Re: the insurance. The Ford VHR FYI page explains it this way:

That's too bad, nice feature to have but I'm sure it's all due to the all mighty shiny nickles they'll save.
